Antonio Silvia

Antonio Silvia is one of the passionate proprietors of Silvia Cellars along with his wife Julie, his winery is deeply rooted in Sicilian winemaking traditions. Antonio, a third-generation winemaker, grew up immersed in his family's viticultural legacy, learning the art of crafting well-balanced wines. Together with his wife, they share visions, and has been instrumental in expanding their winery’s reach while preserving its authenticity. They source premium grapes from Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino, Amador, and Paso Robles, blending old-world techniques with California terroir. Their philosophy centers on producing approachable, full-bodied wines that reflect their dedication to quality, family, and heritage.

South Coast

The South Coast AVA, established in 1985, spans Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego counties, offering a diverse range of microclimates from coastal cool to inland warmth. Influenced by the Pacific Ocean, it supports cool-climate grapes like Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, as well as warm-climate varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Key sub-AVAs include Temecula Valley, Malibu Coast, and Ramona Valley, with over 200 wineries producing award-winning wines. Known for innovative winemaking and sustainable practices, the South Coast AVA continues to gain recognition as a premier Southern California wine region.
