Steve Gerbac

Steve Gerbac has been an integral part of Rusack Vineyards since 2003, ascending to the role of head winemaker in 2012. A graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, Steve's journey in winemaking began with hands-on experience in the cellar, fostering a deep understanding of the winemaking process. His philosophy centers on expressing the distinct characteristics of each vineyard, employing meticulous attention to detail from vine to bottle. Steve's expertise is evident in the elegant and balanced wines that have become synonymous with Rusack Vineyards. Beyond the Ballard Canyon estate, he oversees the unique Santa Catalina Island vineyard project, showcasing his commitment to innovation and honoring California's viticultural heritage.​
