Micah Wirth

At the helm of Méhwa's winemaking is fourth-generation winemaker Micah Wirth. Following in his father's footsteps, Micah honed his craft under the mentorship of renowned winemakers Gary Farrell and Susan Reed. He later co-founded Joseph Jewell Wines and Ousterhout Wines, where he garnered critical acclaim, including 95+ point ratings in esteemed publications such as Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Wine & Spirits, and Food & Wine magazines. Micah's philosophy centers on producing wines that are ready to enjoy upon release, achieved through extended aging—36 months in French oak barrels followed by 6 months in the bottle.
