Petar Kirilov

Petar Kirilov, founder and winemaker of Kukeri Wines, was born in Bulgaria and earned his Master’s degree in winemaking from the prestigious University of Food Technologies in 2002. Passionate about expanding his knowledge, he moved to California in 2003, securing an internship at Truchard Vineyards, an award-winning winery in Napa Valley. In 2005, he joined Vinovation, a hi-tech wine company, contributing to research and development in winemaking. By 2008, he became the winemaker at Meadowcroft Wines and Foyt Wines, overseeing premium wine production. In 2013, Petar launched Kukeri Wines, focusing on small-lot, single-vineyard wines from Napa Valley and Sonoma County, blending tradition with innovation.
