John, Steve Dragonette and Brandon Sparks-Gillis

The winemaking team at Dragonette Cellars consists of brothers John and Steve Dragonette and their close friend, Brandon Sparks-Gillis. Their journey began while working together at a renowned wine shop in Los Angeles, where they cultivated a shared passion for wine. This passion led them to establish Dragonette Cellars in 2005, where they have since dedicated themselves to producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of Santa Barbara County. Their collaborative approach and commitment to quality have positioned Dragonette Cellars as one of the most fascinating wineries in the Central Coast, with their best wines being described as truly world-class.

Central Coast

The Central Coast wine region of California spans from Monterey to Santa Barbara, offering a diverse and world-renowned viticultural landscape. Its Mediterranean climate, influenced by cool Pacific Ocean breezes, creates ideal conditions for growing a wide range of grapes. The region's varied soils, from sandy loam to limestone, contribute to the distinct character of its wines. Known for exceptional Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon, the Central Coast also showcases innovative blends. Sub-regions like Paso Robles, Santa Ynez Valley, and Monterey highlight unique microclimates, making the area a hub of quality and variety for wine enthusiasts.
