Jose Reyes, the esteemed winemaker at CRŪ Winery, embarked on his viticultural journey at the age of 14 after immigrating from Mexico. He began his career on the bottling line at Bargetto Winery in the Santa Cruz Mountains, where his potential was quickly recognized, leading him to more intricate roles within the cellar. In 2009, Reyes joined CRŪ Winery as Cellar Master and ascended to the position of winemaker in 2017. His approach to winemaking is both artistic and meticulous, emphasizing the unique characteristics of each vineyard to craft wines that truly represent the Central Coast's terroir. Reyes' inspiring journey and dedication to his craft have made him a mentor to fellow Latinos and an integral part of CRŪ Winery's success.
