Wines featured in this club level are handcrafted at small California wineries and in such limited amounts they are usually only found at the winery.
Each shipment includes hand-selected California wine, along with tasting notes, winemaker comments and pairing recommendations. Choose from red, white, or a mix.
The Premier Series is our most popular club level and has been delighting wine enthusiasts since 1990.
Shipping is the same whether you choose a 2, 4 or 6 bottle subscription. Even better, when you choose a 12 bottle subscription, the shipping is on us! For 12 bottle members, while our focus is on California wine, occasionally we will include a non California wine.
Frequently Asked Questions
Depending on where the shipping address is located in the United States, new wine club, wine store and wine gift orders typically ship two business days after your order is received. If you choose to expedite a shipment by using air delivery, these orders ship one business day after your order is received. Please note that in order to protect the wine, we may delay a shipment in response to extreme weather conditions.

It is required by law that someone over the age of 21 sign to receive the wine, since wine is a controlled alcoholic beverage. Returned packages will incur a $40 to $80 reship fee depending on shipment size. We recommend a business address for deliveries. Call The California Wine Club's Personal Wine Consultants at 1-800-777-4443 and ask about other alternatives for delivery.
Each month The California Wine Club features different artisan wineries and hand-selects their best wines for our wine club members. These wines along with our tasting notes and pairing suggestions, are then shipped to wine club members all across the country. You may choose to join as a wine club member for yourself, or you may send a wine club gift membership to someone else.
Individuals can cancel their memberships with The California Wine Club at any time with no hidden fees or charges. Simply log in to your account to make the change.
