Tasting Notes: On the nose, floral notes of violets and lavender accentuate dark blackberry and boysenberry aromas. Tobacco, candied fruit, cedar, anise, graphite, and bay leaf fill the glass. On the palate, the wine is concentrated and intense. The purity of the black cherry and blackberry bramble fruit complement the savory crushed herbs and black olives. Lush, soft tannins turn to cocoa and espresso on the finish, showing great weight and balance but retaining the polish and elegance expected from our Elivette. This is a serious wine that is enjoyable now but will cellar beautifully for many years to come.
