If this gem was across the border to the south in Rioja the story would be different - but it's not and that is your gain. Plantings of Graciano, a traditional medium bodied red have fallen in the region - when you taste a compelling single varietal example like this you see what a shame that is.

Tasting Notes: Ripe black cherry, mulberry, and cassis layered with dried tobacco, wild herbs, and violets. Medium-plus body carries bright acidity and fine, ripe tannins. Subtle cedar and spice from neutral oak frame a long, energetic finish with savory earth and pepper.
