Xavier & Caroline Perromat

Château Calvimont is managed by winemakers Xavier and Caroline Perromat, who assumed control of the estate in 2012. The couple purchased Xavier's parents' estate and have been actively involved in revitalizing the vineyards and refining the winemaking processes. Under their leadership, the estate practices sustainable viticulture. The vineyards are situated on a plateau of gravel over limestone, overlooking the Garonne River—terroir particularly well-suited for grape varieties such as Sémillon, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot.

Graves-Bordeaux, France

The Graves wine region, located on the left bank of the Garonne River, is one of Bordeaux's oldest vineyard areas, with a history of wine production dating back to Roman times. The name "Graves" derives from the region's gravelly soil, which is ideal for viticulture. The region is unique in Bordeaux for producing all three main types of wine: red, dry white, and sweet wines. The climate is influenced by the nearby Atlantic Ocean, providing mild temperatures and adequate rainfall, which contribute to the quality and diversity of the wines produced.
