The team's philosophy emphasizes meticulous vineyard management and innovative winemaking techniques to craft wines of unparalleled quality and distinction.
The Red Mountain AVA, established in 2001, is Washington State's smallest wine-grape growing region, encompassing 4,040 acres. Located in south-central Washington, this southwest-facing slope benefits from a unique combination of factors that contribute to its reputation for producing world-class wines. The area experiences a warm climate with consistent winds and a gentle south slope, providing optimal conditions for grape growing. The soil composition is diverse, featuring high calcium content and sandy loam, which aids in drainage and vine stress, leading to concentrated flavors in the grapes. These conditions are particularly favorable for red varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and Sangiovese. Wines from Red Mountain are known for their intensity, power, and elegance, making the AVA a sought-after region for both winemakers and wine enthusiasts.
