Red Stitch Winery
Red Stitch Winery is a boutique wine label established through the collaboration of three families: the Aurilias, the Roberts, and the Miceks. The venture began in 2008 when former Major League Baseball players Rich Aurilia and Dave Roberts, alongside their spouses Amy and Tricia, partnered with their friends John and Noelle Micek. Their shared passion for exceptional wine led them to team up with renowned winemaker Rolando Herrera of Mi Sueño Winery. This partnership enabled Red Stitch to source premium grapes from esteemed vineyards in Napa Valley and the Santa Lucia Highlands. Since their inaugural 2007 vintage, Red Stitch has been dedicated to producing limited-production wines, including Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Santa Lucia Highlands. The name "Red Stitch" subtly nods to the founders' baseball backgrounds, symbolizing the red stitches on a baseball, and reflects their commitment to crafting wines that embody both their heritage and dedication to quality.
