Meyer Family Cellars

Meyer Family Cellars Winery & Tasting Room

Meyer Family Cellars is a family-owned winery nestled in the picturesque Yorkville Highlands of Mendocino County, California. Established in 1999 by Matt Meyer and his father, Justin Meyer—the celebrated co-founder of Silver Oak Cellars—the winery seamlessly blends a rich legacy with innovative winemaking techniques. Today, Matt and his wife, Karen Meyer, both serve as co-winemakers, bringing together their diverse backgrounds and shared passion for crafting exceptional wines.

The winery's portfolio showcases a diverse range of varietals sourced from esteemed appellations:

  • Yorkville Highlands: Known for producing Syrah, Petite Syrah, and Sauvignon Blanc, this region's unique terroir imparts distinctive characteristics to the wines.
  • Anderson Valley: Renowned for its cool-climate conditions, it yields elegant Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, reflecting the valley's refined vinicultural qualities.
  • Oakville in Napa Valley: Home to the iconic Bonny's Vineyard, named after Matt's mother, Bonny Meyer, this area produces the winery's signature Cabernet Sauvignon, celebrated for its depth and complexity.

At Meyer Family Cellars, the commitment to producing balanced, site-specific wines is evident, with each bottle encapsulating the essence of its origin. Visitors to the winery can enjoy tastings in a serene setting, complete with amenities such as bocce courts and picnic areas, offering a comprehensive and inviting wine country experience.
