Lobo Wines is a boutique winery founded by Krys and Randy Wulff in 2007. The name "Lobo," meaning "wolf" in Spanish, honors the Hispanic workforce in Napa Valley. The Wulffs began by selling fruit to established wineries before producing their own wines. Their vineyards are located in the Oak Knoll District and Atlas Peak, known for their rocky, volcanic soils and steep slopes. The winery produces a range of wines, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Rosé of Pinot Noir, and a proprietary red blend called "Howl." Winemaker Victoria Coleman, the first Black woman to graduate from UC Davis' enology/viticulture program, crafts the wines with a focus on quality and sustainability. Lobo Wines is retiring by the end of 2024 and has ceased online sales.
