Hill Family Estate is a family-owned and operated winery located in the heart of Napa Valley, California. Established in 2001, the estate is deeply rooted in agriculture, with proprietor Doug Hill bringing over four decades of vineyard management experience to the venture. The family owns and farms 12 unique vineyards across the Napa Valley, focusing on regions such as Atlas Peak, Carneros, and Oak Knoll. This extensive vineyard portfolio allows them to select the highest quality fruit for their wines, which include varietals like Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, and Syrah.
The winery's tasting room is situated in downtown Yountville, offering a relaxed and welcoming environment adorned with eclectic décor, including a Fender electric guitar, antique furniture, and wine-stained baseball bats. Guests can enjoy seated tastings of current releases, with options for walk-ins and appointments. Additionally, the estate offers unique experiences such as blind tastings and tours of their Secret Garden, an organic farm supplying produce to renowned local restaurants. Ryan Hill, Doug's son, serves as the Vice President and Director of Sales for Hill Family Estate. Growing up in the vineyards and gaining experience in the hospitality industry, Ryan has been instrumental in expanding the winery's presence and sharing the family's wines with a broader audience. He emphasizes the importance of family involvement in the business, stating that being in business with his family is the most rewarding aspect of his work.
