Gibbs Vineyards is a family-owned winery located in Napa Valley, California, with a rich history dating back to the 1950s. The legacy began with Dr. Lewis Gibbs Carpenter Jr., a dedicated farmer and psychologist, who cultivated a variety of crops, including walnuts, dates, and grapes, on the valley floor. His passion for agriculture laid the foundation for the vineyard's future success. Today, Gibbs Vineyards is managed by his grandson, Spencer Gibbs Handly, and winemaker Craig Handly. The duo established the winery to showcase the exceptional quality of the fruit cultivated by Dr. Carpenter over six decades. Starting with a modest production of a few hundred cases of Estate Cabernet and Sauvignon Blanc, Gibbs Vineyards has expanded to produce approximately 4,000 cases annually, featuring nine distinct wines.
