Ellman Family Vineyards, founded by brothers Neil and Lance Ellman, embodies a legacy of passion and dedication to winemaking. Originally from South Africa, the Ellman family relocated to the United States in 1974, bringing with them a rich heritage and entrepreneurial spirit. Their journey into the wine industry began in 2005, culminating in the establishment of their own vineyard in Napa Valley. The 20-acre estate, situated along the historic Silverado Trail at the base of Soda Canyon and in the shadows of Atlas Peak, benefits from a unique terroir. Planted in an ancient riverbed on the bench of the Vaca Mountains, the vineyard's rocky soils and optimal drainage contribute to producing wines of richness, complexity, and elegance. Under the guidance of esteemed winemaker Andy Erickson and vineyard manager Michael Wolf, Ellman Family Vineyards crafts limited-production, single-vineyard wines that reflect the character and potential of their estate.
