Domaine Claude Manciat

Claude Manciat_Signature Label

Domaine Claude Manciat, located in the Mâconnais region of Burgundy, France, has a rich history spanning five generations of winemaking. Established in the late 19th century, the estate initially sold its wines in bulk to local négociants. In the early 1980s, Claude Manciat began bottling under his own label, elevating the domaine's reputation for quality. Today, the estate is managed by his daughter, Marie-Pierre Manciat, who continues the family's legacy with dedication and innovation. The domaine encompasses approximately 22.6 hectares (56 acres) of vineyards spread across five villages, including notable appellations such as Pouilly-Fuissé, Mâcon-Villages, and Saint-Véran. Committed to sustainable viticulture, the estate maintains yields 20-30% lower than the appellation limits, ensuring concentrated and expressive wines. Their portfolio predominantly features Chardonnay, showcasing the diverse terroirs of the Mâconnais with wines that balance richness and minerality. The meticulous vineyard management and careful vinification practices result in wines that authentically express their origin.
