Château Rocher-Gardat, nestled in the Montagne Saint-Émilion appellation of Bordeaux, France, has been a family-owned estate since 1880. The vineyard spans 7 hectares on clay-limestone soils, primarily cultivating Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes. This terroir imparts a unique minerality and depth to their wines. The estate is currently managed by Patrick Moze-Berthon and his son Mickael, representing the 6th and 7th generations of winemakers in the family. They have undertaken significant renovations of the cellars under the guidance of renowned consultant Hubert de Boüard de Laforest, co-owner of Château Angélus. Château Rocher-Gardat is committed to sustainable viticulture, holding the High Environmental Value (HVE) certification, reflecting their dedication to environmental stewardship and biodiversity. Their wines are known for their modern style, characterized by toasty oak aromas, dark plum flavors, and a sleek, fresh palate with succulent tannins. The 2021 vintage exemplifies their commitment to quality and tradition.
