Ridge Vineyards Benito Dusi Ranch Zinfandel Paso Robles CA 2022

It's fair to say Ridge sits as the pinnacle for Zinfandel globally. Since 1964 the Ridge team have sought out the very best old vine Zinfandel sites and championed them with thoughtful winemaking and a series of outstanding single-vineyard bottlings. The Dusi ranch was planted in 1923 and unquestionably deserves it's status as one of America's finest sites for Zinfandel. This wine is aged in American Oak (mainly 2nd and 3rd fill) yielding a wine with gorgeous aromatic red fruit and tremendous ageing potential for the patient!

Tasting Notes: Ripe blackberry, black cherry and plum meet brambly raspberry, licorice and pepper. Notes of cedar, vanilla and dried sage follow. Medium-full body, fresh acidity and supple tannins drive a lively, juicy palate, finishing long with red-fruit lift and spice. zest.
