Bodega Monteviejo

Monteviejo Winery and Tasting Room

Bodega Monteviejo, established in 2001, is nestled at the foothills of the Andes Mountains in Vista Flores, Tunuyán, within Mendoza's renowned Uco Valley. Spanning 130 hectares, the winery boasts vineyards situated between 1,000 and 1,200 meters above sea level, benefiting from optimal sun exposure due to its northern and eastern-facing slopes. As a founding member of the esteemed Clos de los Siete project—a collaboration initiated by the acclaimed French oenologist Michel Rolland—Bodega Monteviejo embodies a fusion of French winemaking expertise and Argentina's rich viticultural heritage. The winery was developed by Catherine Péré-Vergé, who was instrumental in its inception and vision. The vineyards are planted with a diverse array of grape varieties, including Argentina's flagship Malbec, as well as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petit Verdot, and Chardonnay. The terrain features loam and stony soils, ideal for cultivating high-quality vines. Bodega Monteviejo is committed to producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Uco Valley, emphasizing elegance, balance, and a deep sense of place. Visitors to the winery can explore the picturesque grounds, which include gardens and courtyards, and engage in experiences such as art exhibitions, winery tours, and culinary classes, offering a holistic immersion into the world of wine, art, and gastronomy.
