Mount Langi Ghiran Shiraz Heathcote Victoria Australia 2019
Mount Langi Ghiran

Sourced from old vines (50+ years old) in the cool climate region of the Grampians mountain range this is a fresher, lighter style of Aussie shiraz than from say Barossa. A beautiful example of what this region can do, and offering exceptional value for a cellar-worthy red.
Tasting Notes: Blackberry and plum drive a savory core of black pepper, anise, and clove, with hints of violet, graphite, ironstone, and dried sage. Medium-plus body, 13.5% warmth, lively acidity, and fine, powdery tannins carry a long, cocoa-tinged, mineral finish with length.
Composition: 100% Shiraz
Pair with: Pepper-Crusted Lamb Chops, Charcoal-Grilled Ribeye Steak, Mushroom And Thyme Ragu
Hold Time: Now till 2033
Alcohol by Volume: 13.5%
Acclaim: 94 Points, Andrew Caillard MW, 93 Points, Wine Enthusiast
Cheers to another unique wine club find!
