James Harder

Co-founder and owner of Tank Garage Winery, brings a wealth of experience to the winemaking team. Born in Alberta, Canada, Harder has an extensive background in wine marketing, having held positions at Vincor International and Wilson Daniels. In 2000, he and his wife Colleen established James Cole Winery in Napa Valley, focusing on high-end varietals. Seeking a more experimental approach, Harder co-founded Tank Garage Winery in 2014, aiming to create unconventional, limited-production blends that celebrate creativity and nonconformity. His vision has positioned Tank Garage as a hub for innovative winemaking and storytelling.
