Bob Pepi

The consulting winemaker for Kelly Family Vineyards, embarked on his winemaking journey in 1981 with the establishment of his family’s winery, Robert Pepi. After selling the winery, Bob transitioned to consulting, lending his expertise to various wineries across California and internationally in Argentina, Colorado, and Texas. His philosophy centers on creating wines that authentically represent their vineyard origins, a principle he upholds at Kelly Family Vineyards. Collaborating closely with proprietor Gene Kelly and vineyard manager Mario Bazán, Bob ensures that the estate's Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes are transformed into wines that showcase the distinct characteristics of the Oak Knoll District terroir. ​
